Chinese Spinach salad


– 3 heads Fresh spinach, washed and drained
– 1 cup Water chestnuts, sliced
– 3 Eggs, hard boiled, chopped
– 1 cup Fresh bean sprouts
– 4 slices Bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)

– 1 cup Sunflower oil
– 3/4 cup Onion, chopped
– 1/4 cup Red wine vinegar
– 1/2 cup Sugar
– 1 teaspoon Salt
– 1/3 cup Catsup
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (most includes anchovies, although there are vegetarian Worcestershire sauce available. Can be replaced with soy sauce if you’re a vegetarian).


– Mix all dressing ingredients together first, and refrigerate.
– Mix salad together.
– Just before serving, toss salad with dressing.
– Spinach salad orientale is ready to served.
